A Quiet Place to Rest

Abstract:

In 2021 my mother passed away. ‘A quiet Place to Rest’ is the view from her final resting place. We laid mum to rest in the Eden Gardens. This Drypoint is my tribute to her and the natural oasis where she has been laid to rest.

Because I was studying at the time this was announced, the University of Auckland published an article about my printmaking accomplishments.

The Waikato Society of Arts (WSA) holds this award every year, and it is the one award dedicated to printmaking specifically. The Paint and Printmaking Award is often coveted by printmakers and is a sign of achievement to just make the final selection for exhibition.
